AMC Theatres is located inside the Tallahassee Mall On The Belk's wing. Of course it offers 20 screens with theaters from Large Stadium Theater seating to smaller more traditional setting auditoriums for lower viewing attendance pictures. This one has it all.

The Challenger Learning Center is located in the Kleman Plaza above the downtown parking garage. This is must see for those looking to entertain the Family. Tallahassee is fortunate to have these facilities and the show times are quite frequent. You have your choice of the Imax Theater or The Planetarium along with a NASA space items museum right in the lobby. Refreshments are available just as with traditional movie theaters.

Tallahassee's Only Discount Theater, This facility was actually built as a second run theater and has always been Tallahassee's low cost film choice since it was built. Overall a great value for movies in Tallahassee. Refreshments are a little less too than normal theaters. This theater is in the shopping center known as the Heritage Plaza which is home to the Christian Heritage Church. You will see the big moving message sign for the Church quite visibly from North Monroe street from Either the North or South sides from Sharer Road which is the feed street which leads into this shopping center.

North Of Tallahassee, Cairo Georgia.

Here is a neat find. At this time we are actually going to take a short drive to the North of our Metro Tallahassee area and make a short trip over to Cairo, Georgia. This is only about a half hour trip from Tallahassee. What do we find ? A real jewel of a theatre that most in Tallahassee do not even know about. This brings real meaning to "They don't build them like this anymore" If you are a real movie fan and you want to take in something different. Try the Zebulon Theatre in Downtown Cairo Georgia. This Theatre has been in continuous operation since 1936 and offers the yesteryear movie experience like never before. Their prices are most reasonable and it features first run Family oriented movies. The people are most friendly over here and it make a nice excursion for a place to bring the kids over for a neat treat. Of course Theaters of this era were only built with 1 theater screen. Theatres of yesteryear were often the center town focal point and whatever movie was running was it. They did not have 500 channels of television in these days and continues stream of never ending media as is the case today.

After seeing just these few pictures. I think if you are a real movie buff. We are probably going to be seeing you over here at the Zebulon. The drive is not a bad one, It's real easy from the North East side of Tallahassee. You will probably find that you save in admission and refreshment prices what you spent in gas to drive over. This is a popular outing with many of our Metro Tallahassee staff.
